One of my goals right now is to be able to transition into a more low waste lifestyle so I have been slowly making the switch. Getting rid of plastic and buying things that are better for the environment. So this is a list of my favorite’s that I personally use.
Glass Water Bottle:
These are my favorite! I have two of the one-liter ones so I know I just need to drink both of them and then I have had my 8 cups of water. I just fill them both up at the morning and make a goal to drink one by lunch. They come in tons of colors and sizes to fit your needs.
Ziploc Bags:
I have these in all different sizes and use them daily. They are great for traveling, for the freezer, for packing lunches, and kitchen storage. Also, I have used mine for years and they are still going strong.
Straws:
Bamboo https://amzn.to/2BWwE1G , Glass https://amzn.to/2PelHdF
I personally use both, I like them each for different things. The bamboo ones are good for kids since they can’t easily break them compared to the glass ones. Don’t get me wrong, the glass ones are very strong but they only take so many hits to the floor.
Coffee Cup:
I don’t personally use this one but my sister does and she loves it. We take it into the local coffee shop for iced coffee and she uses hers just around the house for water.
Mason Jars:
Air Popper:
Air poppers are great because they don’t use any oil so they are super easy to clean. Plus it makes it healthier for you especially over microwave popcorn full of heaven knows what. I normally drizzle a little bit of oil and salt on mine and am good to go.
Napkins:
I love these! I have used them for napkins, dishcloths, cleaning clothes, coasters, paper towels, face clothes, and washcloths. I just keep mine in a basket next to my sink so they are easy to grab and go.
What are some of your favorite low waste or zero waste swaps?
