Daily affirmations are something that everyone should be doing, every single day. It only costs you your time and is a great daily self-care option that’s easy to practice anywhere. You can use affirmations to help with weight loss, confidence, happiness, and success. Let’s talk about why you should practice daily affirmations.
What are affirmations
Affirmations are a great way to help you reach short term and long term goals. Reaching your goals can help give you a positive outlook on life. They help you have positive thoughts about yourself and what you are capable of. What if you told yourself every day that you were happy with your job? If you kept doing it every single day your brain would start to believe you. You could start to have a positive outlook on your current job. Like I get it, it’s not always easy to think positively about every situation that pops up in your life. It’s not that easy just to be positive all the time. An example from my life is, I don’t love my job. But it pays well, has decent benefits, and is better than working in a factory. For a long time, I had a negative outlook on my job, I hated getting up to go to work. But after a while, I got tired of always dreading work. I have been working on having a more positive outlook on my job, I focus on the good things about it instead of only the negative parts.
“Your life is as good as your mindset.”
By focusing on the positive parts of my job has helped me have a different attitude about going to work. What if you did that about a negative thing in your life? What could you change in your life? Daily practice helps to keep the small things in perspective. In this high-speed world, you can easily lose sight of how large the small things really are. When healthy you may forget to think of how much you appreciate it. A simple morning affirmation can make such a positive effect on your brain.
How to use affirmations
Affirmations can be as long or as short as you want them to be. But the most important part is that they are always positive and you do them daily. You can have one, or ten. It’s all up to you. Here are some ideas for affirmations that you can practice. If you’re like me and forget things a lot a good way to remember to do your affirmations is to download an affirmation app. Makes a great on the go option as well. Some let you add a recording of you reading your affirmation so you can simply listen to it. It’s important that it’s in your own voice so your brain actually believes the affirmation.
